JOB TITLE:

Archives Aide - Expeditor

JOB PURPOSE:

Job purpose consists of assisting the AHC Accessioning Unit by placing newly rehoused and listed collection material into the archival storage areas and completing accompanying paperwork for essential workflows within the AHC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include performing weekly shelf checks to ensure collections are returned to proper storage, entering data into the AHC collection management database, and carrying out additional support tasks for the Collections Management Unit. These tasks include filing, general cleaning and maintenance, operation of a large format shredding machine, and other duties as assigned. Reports to the Accessioning Unit Supervisor.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma/GED

Experience: No related experience required though must have 1 year of work history

Other Requirements:

* Ability to work independently

* Ability to perform manual labor tasks and regularly lift up to 80 lbs.

* Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.

* Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Basic understanding of hand and power tools

* Working knowledge of computer data entry and familiarity with Microsoft programs

* Rudimentary clerical skills and knowledge of office protocols.
