Operate and safely maintain a plant for packaging gasses into cylinders while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local and company policies, procedures, regulations and laws.
Conduct periodic checks of the plant for safe and efficient operation.
Ensure all injuries and accidents are properly investigated and reported within 24 hours.
Resolve problems associated with plant operation.
Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed and safety training is regularly scheduled, conducted and documented.
Provide coaching and corrective action promptly, to ensure that poor performers are identified, documented and improved to acceptable performance, or discharged.
Approve overtime when essential, while keeping overtime at acceptable levels.
Ensure employee complaints, issues, etc. are effectively handled.
Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
Take care of critical decisions while following company procedures.
Be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
Make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
Possess the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one's conduct.
Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
Self Motivated to perform a task to the best of one's ability using his or her own drive or initiative.
Utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
Prefer Associates or Bachelors Degree plus five (5) years industry experience.
