Job Overview

Komatsu Longview Operations builds the world's largest front-end loader and we are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector in Longview, Texas to support our assembly teams. Key Job Responsibilities
  • Work safe and be an advocate for safety
  • Visual inspection of manufactured parts and raw materials per drawing requirements
  • Hardness testing of raw materials and manufactured parts using the Brinell and Rockwell hardness testing methods
  • Prioritizes raw materials and parts for the various inspection processes. Requires the ability to prioritize raw materials and parts for the various inspection processes
  • Set-up of all types of gages for use in the inspection processes. Requires the ability to set-up all types of gages for use in the inspection processes
  • Knowledge of visual inspections processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of surface conditions of materials & machined surfaces
  • In-process and final inspection of assembled equipment such as wheel loaders, sizers, drills, etc. per the requirements of applicable drawings, specifications, procedures & work instructions
Qualifications/Requirements
  • High technical aptitude
  • Mechanical or machining experience
  • Self-starter, able to prioritize & multi-task with good analytical skills
  • Ability to calculate figures & amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference & volume
  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings and technical requirements
  • Ability to read measurement with measuring devices
  • Good interpersonal skills & ability to collaborate with others
  • Enthusiastic and energetic
  • Significant computer-based ability and aptitude
