Job/Internship Description

JOB TITLE:

Intern

JOB PURPOSE:

Work with project leaders and staff at Powell Research & Extension Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties will include, but are not limited to: helping project leaders and PREC staff, care for plants in the greenhouse, clean seed samples, package seed for trials, take visual ratings on plant health, grind plant/soil samples, take soil samples, learn how to operate different plant science instruments and farm equipment, maintain lawns, control weeds, care for PREC grounds, etc.

The interns will be trained on how to properly conduct the research activities above.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the .

Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperature and weather.
