Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

To teach one 16-week Latin course (LATN 3990-80) about the poetry of Catullus to Latin students
with 8 or more hours of college-level Latin.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To use Daniel H. Garrison's The Students Catullus (2012: ISBN 9780806142326) and other resources as needed for multi-level Latin learners.

To teach this course synchronously online using Zoom video conferencing four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 8:00-8:50 AM MT during Fall 2024

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position is eligible for remote work and/or a flexible work schedule.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master's degree in a related discipline

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience teaching Latin at the college level.

Experience teaching synchronous online courses using Zoom.

Experience teaching Catullus.
