Performs and supervises the daily operations of the Payroll Human Resources support staff, payroll and benefit process
for all cycles and deadlines as well as Human Resources needs by performing the following duties.

Job Description

Primary Location:

Worland, Wyoming

Supervises and directs all functions related to the processing of payroll and timekeeping. Interprets the day-to-day business objectives to assist in the preparation and execution of the bi-weekly payroll process.

Ensures that all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner. Operates as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve payroll issues and continuously look for areas of improvement in payroll operations processes.

Conducts work planning, estimation, and prioritization to optimize performance of the Payroll team and works with Compensation and Benefits to develop and define standards and procedures.

Escalates potential service issues to Director of Compensation and Benefits. Trains team members on new or enhanced operational procedures and policies, and back-fills for team members when necessary. Identifies process improvement initiatives.

Ensures that cross training is implemented for all Payroll Human Resources support job functions.

Oversees staff in serving both internal and external customers for all Payroll Human Resources support functions.

Promote and maintain professional, accurate and timely communication with all internal and external customers.

Ensure accuracy of all payroll processing procedures including timekeeping, record keeping, and tax payment procedures.

Completes yearly taxation documents including W2 and 1095 processing. Processes quarterly taxes for all payroll companies.

Maintain and enforce procedures to ensure appropriate authorizations are in place for all changes and modifications before any action is taken. Sets up, troubleshoots, and fixes timeclocks.

Proficient with Kronos and responsible for its operation throughout the company. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
