What you will be doing

The Director, Specialty Practice Solutions is primarily responsible for identifying, assessing, and implementing in-house dispensing opportunities for existing Cencora and future customers.

Additionally, this role will focus on assisting specialty practices capture additional revenue in prescriptions and supportive care products in addition to enabling practices' ability to enhance patient care by offering faster, more convenient in-house pharmacy services.

This is a remote, territory-based position supporting customers in the Northern United States.

  • Develops and manages innovative clinical programs which optimize the use of medications and promotes cost-effective therapies; responsibilities include advising members' clinical pharmacy staff, coordinating implementation, and collaborating with medical staff to achieve desired results.
  • Strategically partner with specialty practices to determine and implement an appropriate in-house dispensing model including licensed pharmacy or physician dispensing program.
  • Establish and build strong internal and external client relationships that allow for future growth, profitability and predictability.
  • Manage assigned territory through prospecting, customer retention and expansion opportunities for sales growth.
  • Appropriately leverage current services/tools to achieve added efficiency and/or quality for customers.
  • Coordinate the involvement of internal colleagues, stakeholders and management in order to meet the customer's expectations and maximize performance.
  • Advises and makes recommendations to Sr. leadership on clinical matters.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

  • Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor's Degree Program or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Normally requires a minimum of eight (8) years directly related and progressively responsible experience
  • Pharmacist licensure required
  • Healthcare sales, or Practice in-house dispensing experience highly recommended
  • Ability to collaborate and interact effectively with staff; innovative and professional
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent clinical, leadership and presentation skills
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Good analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of computers in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs
  • Must live within the assigned geography
