Job/Internship Description

Basic Job Scope:

Expected Length of Internship:

  • Beginning in May 2024 (Spring) and lasting through December 2024 (Winter). There may be a potential option to extend.
  • As an internship company, we allow flexibility to enroll in classes while working as an intern, as long as it doesn't interfere with the essential functions of the position.

Education/Experience:

  • Human Resources Management or Business major, 3rd or 4th Year student preferred.
  • Some experience in an office environment preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
  • First Solar encourages all interns to register their internship with their university.

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Ability to navigate PowerPoint and MS Excel with efficiency, Good understanding of Excel formulas and pivot tables a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Amazing follow-through and responsiveness.
  • Ability to adapt to a professional, office environment.

Basic Internship Scope (Project):

  • Support Global Human Resource projects
  • Proofread HR documents, PowerPoints
  • Help prepare Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Documents
  • Availability to attend local University career fairs with Talent Acquisition as required.
  • Assist the Diversity Inclusion and Belonging efforts for the team.
  • Lead Monthly Community Involvement calls.
  • Assist with other projects as required.
  • This internship will support the US launch of a Connector Program for new hires and existing associates, the intern will:
    • Gather data for Connector Program metrics
    • Track progress, priorities, and deadlines
  • Upon the completion of this internship, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Contribute to process and system enhancement
  • Review 30-day and 90-day surveys and provide feedback
  • Obtain feedback from hiring managers/
  • Be the point of contact for project questions.

Estimated Salary Range:

  • $13.75 - $18.00 /hour
