JOB TITLE:

Research Associate II

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to provide project coordination for all evaluation and research activities at the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND); handles the exchange of evaluation and research data for projects under limited supervision; organizes, preserves, analyzes, interprets, and disseminates high quality data, related to activities, coordinates operations of WIND projects and research under the director of WIND Director of Research and Evaluation and in collaboration with WIND leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates WIND research initiatives and program evaluation, in collaboration with WIND research and evaluation faculty/staff and external evaluators
  • Coordinates program evaluation activities, outcomes assessment (designing, gathering, analyzing, preparing, and presenting data)
  • Generates written reports, gives presentations and makes recommendations based on evaluation findings
  • Coordinates research administrative activities (IRB submissions, compliance documentation, reports to funders, recruiting and participants), literature reviews, survey questionnaire design, implement research protocols, clean and analyze data, statistical and qualitative analysis, guiding data management
  • Assist in writing proposals for research grants; conduct awarded research
  • Produce written reports and other documentation; may give oral presentations to convey results of research to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Prepare reports for funding agencies as prescribed in grant/contract proposals
  • Research literature to define additional research needs, perform specific methodologies, and write manuscripts
  • Collect data through the use of online questionnaire systems (e.g., REDCap), through interviews, focus groups or other methodologies as needed.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

On-Campus work is preferred for collaboration with colleagues however, this position is eligible for remote work and/or a flexible work schedule.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in disabilities studies, psychology, sociology, public health, behavioral sciences, or related fields

Experience: 2 years work-related experience in program evaluation, research coordination and/or data analysis

Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements:

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master's degree in related field to include disabilities studies, psychology, sociology, public health, behavioral sciences, or related fields

Experience: 5 years work-related experience in program evaluation, research coordination, data analysis, programming or statistical analysis

  • Significant experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities and potentially conflicting timelines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and manage competing priorities
  • Experience preparing Institutional Review Board (IRB) application and monitoring compliance with protocols
  • Experience producing reports and presentations for stakeholders
  • Significant experience with data management and reporting
  • Experience with qualitative methodologies and analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in teams and with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities and potentially conflicting timelines
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with data reporting
  • Experience with database management
  • Experience with basic statistics such as, but not limited to, t-tests, chi-squares, regressions and ANOVA
