Job Brief

As a Custodian, you will ensure proper upkeep of common areas at the Cheyenne Facility and perform minor Building & Grounds Maintenance tasks when required.

*Starting pay for this position is $19.76 an hour*

What You'll Do

As a Custodian, you will ensure proper upkeep of common areas at the Cheyenne Facility and perform minor Building & Grounds Maintenance tasks when required. Other duties will include:

  • Follows all occupational hazards and safety rules.
  • Set in order, sort, shine, standardize, and sustain all custodial supply storage areas.
  • Placing warning devices to warn of potential danger during mopping and waxing of floors.
  • Ensure completion of all Standard Custodial Position Responsibilities.
  • Read technical information and take appropriate action, based on interpretation of procedures, and technical manuals.
  • Makes entries to Logbooks and communicates.
  • Will train and eventually become capable performing all the Building & Grounds Maintenance Lead position duties.
  • Will complete required training to qualify for the Track Crew Operator position and eventually become capable of upgrading to the Track Crew Senior Operator position. And will complete periodic refresher training to maintain proficiency in qualified positions.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in assigned area.
  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety. (Ensure SAO, JSA, Take 5's, stretching, and all safety rules are being completed.)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
  • Supports Business Excellence initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility

What We're Looking For:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 2+ yearsexperience in building or institutional custodial work or an equivalent combination of education and experience .
  • Ability to use and maintain industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical data and aptitude for mechanical principles and math.
  • Attention to detail, conscientiousness and very good physical condition.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
