Post Doctoral Research Associate

JOB PURPOSE:

The Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Wyoming is seeking to fill a Postdoctoral Scholar position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in physics, materials sciences, or a closely related area. The successful candidates will participate in the research program of Prof. Yu-Tsung Tsai's research lab to investigate the carrier dynamics in two-dimensional (2D) materials by implementing ultrafast pump-probe microscopy with external applied magnetic fields. The project involves 2D materials preparation and handling, quantum device fabrication, and magneto-optical studies at low temperatures. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated ability to carry out productive research, effective communication with faculty, staff, and students, and experience in at least one of the above-mentioned areas.
