This position provides content for both Wyoming Public Media and the Mountain West News Bureau, a regional LJC covering issues in American West, including energy, Indigenous populations, water rights, health, education, commerce, natural resources/wildlife, the tourist economy, among others. The position is based at Wyoming Public Media and works with both the WPM News Director and the Mountain West Bureau Regional Editor. Its an exciting opportunity to cover Wyoming and the real American West.
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
Ideally, this position requires the successful candidate be available to work in Wyoming and preferably in the WPM studios in Knight Hall on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field.
Experience: None
Required licensure, certification, registration, or other requirements:
Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the .
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Three years' experience in a broadcast position in radio and multi-media platforms.

ABOUT THIS POSITION:
Wyoming Public Media is seeking a public radio reporter to join our newsroom as the network reporter assigned to the Mountain West News Bureau. The MWNB is a collaboration of five public radio stations in various Rocky Mountain states covering regional issues affecting the American West, including topics such as wildlife, land use, the environment, health, growth, education, indigenous cultures and affairs. and politics. MWNB is funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and WPM listeners.

ABOUT WYOMING PUBLIC MEDIA:
Wyoming Public Media is an award-winning statewide public media network operating four radio channels and one digital service. It broadcasts local programming as well as NPR national and BBC global productions. Formats include talk, news, music, culture, entertainment. The network's main studio is in Knight Hall, on the UW campus. The WPM news department employs 9 full-time journalists in addition to part-time employees and interns.
