JOB TITLE:

PROGRAM MANAGER, COMMUNITY HEALTH

JOB PURPOSE:

The incumbent will serve as the day-to-day manager of one or more initiatives within the Wyoming Rural Health Institute. The initial project for the current position will be with the Wyoming Maternal Health Innovation Program (WY-MHIP), which is focused on developing, implementing, and researching the impact of innovations in maternal health throughout Wyoming. Responsibilities will include hiring and supervising program staff, managing the project's task forces and working groups, monitoring program budgets, creating and implementing project work plans, preparing progress reports for internal and external stakeholders, drafting and managing MOUs, developing promotional campaigns and advertising the program, coordinating with key partners and other stakeholders, organizing and facilitating project meetings, and assisting with development of policies and procedures. The incumbent may also provide program management support to other initiatives in the Wyoming Rural Health Institute as needs arise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project management activities including supervising program staff; creating/monitoring budgets, timelines, and work plans; creating progress reports; overseeing relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Assisting with implementation of programmatic strategies
  • Generating reports and responding to other data queries

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Participate in performance-related goal setting and achievement to meet personal and organizational goals and objectives.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Experience: 4-5 years related experience

Required licensure, certification, registration, or other requirements:

  • Some positions may require a valid Driver's License.
  • Some positions may require human subjects' protection training.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with project management
  • Experience with employee supervision
  • Ability to effectively manage time and set priorities
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (preferred)
  • Background in a health-related field (preferred)
