Georgia Pacific is seeking a Plant Engineer for our Lovell, WY facility. This role will lead a team to ensure a safe and injury/incident-free environment in our fast-paced plant. We are seeking a Plant Engineerwho will provide project engineering and management expertise required to support the Lovell Gypsum Facilitycapital execution plan and operations. The Plant Engineer will be responsible for development, design, procurement, construction, and start-up of various projects within the facility. The position requires the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and be a support person to the daily manufacturing operations. The role will have direct impact on safety, cost reduction, and process improvement at our facility.

The successful candidate will be provided a $10,000 signing bonus after starting the new role. External candidates and internal Koch company employees moving to the new location when hired are considered eligible. This role might require some travel to other facilities, training, and vendors. This role requires working overtime, nights and weekends as required.

What You Will Do In Your Role
  • Lead single or multiple capital/maintenance projects for the Lovell facility while gaining knowledge, and developing subject matter expertise to be recognized that create value and competitive advantage.

  • Project oversight through direct support to operating group, design team, field teams, and management.

  • Adhere to compliance and company standards and ensure expectations are followed through project completion.

  • Assist the maintenance team with resolution of technical issues.

  • Provide direct plant support in troubleshooting, asset strategies, project development and execution.

  • Understand business, economic, and operational drivers behind assigned projects.

  • Stays abreast of current technologies byattending seminars, classes, and other training resources.

  • Develop and apply strategies to optimizeon-goingoperations with automation and innovative technologies.

The Experience You Will BringRequirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Technology or a minimum of 10 years project engineering/management experience.

  • Previous process engineering, and/or manufacturing project management experience.

  • Demonstrated project management skills and strong analytical capabilities.

  • Must have experience with Root Cause Analysis, performance gap identification and analysis, and project or program planning and execution.

  • Ability to read, update, and create technical drawings and plans

  • Experience using Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Autodesk AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor or other 3D modeling software.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Direct experience with Gypsum Manufacturing equipment.

  • Experience in industrial EH&S standards and practices, including a working knowledge of OSHA and MSHA standards and practices.

  • Experience working with mechanical/electrical contractors to accomplish projects in a timely and cost effective manner.

  • Experience working with fabrication/machine shops to create parts/welded assemblies.

  • PMP Designation, Lean Six Sigma Certification, or equivalent.

  • Experience in reliability engineering with manufacturing equipment.

  • Statistical Process Controls (SPC) experience

  • Experience leading improvement teams

  • Process mapping and optimization skills

  • Data mining and analysis skills

  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS); MP2 desired
